NY Metropolista Starts Spreadin’ The News

A little over a year ago, my family and I packed up our bags, left our pretty little house in the Midwest, and moved back to New York City after having been gone for almost four years.  To some, seeing a family of five leave the suburbs to move to the big city, and into a smaller apartment, seemed like a backwards move.  But to me, it was the right move.  And that is because, no matter where I go, no matter where I live, I am, to the bone, a New Yorker.  And this is the city I love.

So when MJ Tam, founder of Chicagonista and Owner of City Connect Media, introduced me to the idea of NY Metropolista, a family-friendly magazine site focusing on anything and everything New York, I got very excited.  I already share many of my New York adventures through NYCityMama.com, so it’s natural to continue to do that and more with the collaboration of gifted writers by my side.  Because when it comes to talking about my hometown, I am always happy to do it, especially if I know it will make the experience for those who may visit or live here that much more positive.

And so, with a heart full of joy and anticipation, I’d like to welcome the world to NY Metropolista, where we will share with you all we know and discover, and the many great things there are to see, hear, and do in the New York Metro area, and sometimes even beyond, either with the family or without.
