Calling All Little Athletes to Chelsea Piers!

Chelsea Piers is without a doubt one of Manhattan’s finest sports and fitness centers. Located on 23rd St, overlooking the Hudson, this amazing facility is a wonderland for everything wellness, fitness, and sports related, from golfing, to bowling, to providing a spa experience.
For most New Yorkers, the prices of some of their activities may seem a bit much, I know that for me personally, I have found many of their programs out of my price range. But there are a few classes, especially in their Little Athletes program, that are a bit more attainable for most.
The price for the Preschool Series is $495 for 17 weeks, one day a week sessions. The Field House offers a 10% discount for any additional classes during the week.
My kids had the opportunity to participate in a gymnastics course recently. The class was set for 3 and 4 year olds and it is 50 minutes long. This is part of the Gymnastics Preschool Series at The Field House in Chelsea Piers. Though my 4 year old immediately jumped into the activities, my 3 year old seemed more interested in all the colorful play areas around him. The staff, all of whom are incredibly friendly, knew exactly what to do so that he did not disrupt the other children. Turns out he was a perfect fit for their Toddler Adventure Center, available for kids ages 6 months to 4 years old.
I watched as my 4 year old did stretching posses and other things that encourage flexibility, agility, and movement, preparing them for structured exercises and sports. It was really cute to watch and he really seemed to enjoy it and really get into it, following the instructor’s every direction without interruption or hesitation.
If this is something that fits into your lifestyle, I truly recommend it. My children had a wonderful time there, and I found the selections of programs to be varied for all different sports lovers and ages. Their Little Athletes programs is a perfect way to introduce your little ones to a life full of healthy habits and physical activities, as well as a love for sports, whatever that sport may be.
The Field House is currently registering for their Holiday Camps. Check out their website for programs, hours, and directions, as well as costs and other information.
